Vermicomposting is the natural process of compost formation by converting organic wastes into fertiliser utilising earth worms and cow dung. It being widely used for solid waste management. Many species earthworms are utilised in this such as Eisenia fetida, Eudrilus eugeniae, andrei, Lampito rubellus Drawida willis. They feed on to produce vermicompost, vermiwash more resultant products. Composting with technique takes around 28-120 days it depends upon type used. Kirori Mal College University Delhi pioneer adopting vermicomposting a large scale. has put 15 beds place its nursery. This set fifteen composting able utilise about 1.7 tons dry leaves single cycle converts them very nutritious fertilizer. Along also produces vermiwash, concentrated liquid fertilizer, stored utilized after dilution.
